INDIAN CUISINE

 
 Indian cuisine is the general name for the foods of the Indian subcontinent, characterized by the extensive use of various spices, herbs, and other vegetables, and sometimes fruits grown in India and also for the widespread practice of vegetarianism in Indian society. Indian cuisine has been around for at least 2500-3000 years and it has changed much over the years. The use of many different herbs and spices make each dish quite unique. Each different region in India is known for its wide selection of different recipes and Indian cooking styles and tastes. Though about one third of the population is strictly vegetarian, there are many different Indian recipes that include chicken, lamb and goat meat. There are a wide variety of Indian food recipes within Indian cuisine including Chicken recipes, Indian curry recipes, Curry recipes, South Indian recipes. For vegetarians or those trying to cut down on meat because of its relatively high calorie content, Indian food containing healthy Indian recipes or even better Vegetarian Indian recipes are ideal.
